Casey

Casey was born in Iowa, and grew up in Provo, Utah.  He comes from a large family with three brothers and two sisters.  He and his siblings attended Timpview High School, and he has lived in Provo ever since.  Although his family lives just 20 minutes from Provo, he rarely sees them, though he greatly wishes to spend more time with them.  Besides his family, he loves Mexican food, hiking in Provo Canyon, and rare coin collecting.  Among his coins, he carries a polished Japanese piece and one of the first-minted Euro coins.  Although he currently lives on the street, he dreams of someday having a big family with kids of his own.

When I related the story of Cassie's death, he hung his head in sorrow and promised to carefully read the card about her life.  He then repeated many times his thanks for the small gift that we gave him.  He said Cassie's story had deeply touched him and inspired him to be a better example.
