The Inspiration

When Cassie walked into a room, she brought the sunshine in with her. Her bright, happy smile and contagious laugh could easily brighten the darkest day. Cassie had the amazing gift of loving everyone she ever met. She never hesitated to show how excited she was to see you as she grabbed you into a bear hug. She made everyone around her feel important and loved. Cassie always thought of others before herself and was constantly serving and selflessly giving. Her life was filled with a true happiness that came from spreading love and joy wherever she went.

Unfortunately, Cassie’s beautiful life was cut much too short when she passed away suddenly on July 29, 2016 just a few days before her 21^st birthday and less than a month before her wedding. Although we miss her terribly, it is comforting to remember all the lives she touched and changed in her short time on this earth. We want to honor her joy-filled life by continuing her legacy of friendship, love and thoughtfulness.

The purpose of these Cassie Kits is not only to provide a few gifts to those in need, but to also create bonds of love and friendship.  Cassie had the gift of truly loving and seeing the good in everyone she met. There were no barriers to her love and friendship. We hope that we can follow her Christ-like example and reach out in love to all of our brothers and sisters as we lift and help each other.
