The Stories

If you are like me, you have often seen homeless people in parks or in the streets and wanted to help, but were unsure how, and so you continued walking. So many people, like me, ignore the homeless, partly because they believe there is little they can do to help.

The first, and maybe most important, thing we can do is to open our eyes and open our hearts. We need to see the invisible people. See them for who they are. They are really very much like us. Fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters, friends and lovers. People with shining hopes, bright dreams and unique stories.

This page was created to help break down barriers and encourage building love with our homeless brothers and sisters in our community. Whether it's with direct eye contact and a smile, lending a listening ear or sharing a meal, everyone has something to offer others. No act is too small!
